After a post-lunch meltdown over the fact that our roof was leaking in a bad storm and we’ve not unpacked any of Helen’s gifts which added up to me feeling woefully unprepared, we went upstairs and got busy unpacking the boxes of gifts, washing all her clothes, organizing them by size. While mama and I sorted all the clothes, Ben was busy assembling the car seat (which is also now installed), the stroller, the pack and play, the rock and play, the swing and taking out all the trash. And y’all.
That was serious. Serious. Work. I’ve never been so tired. But what a HUGE step in the right direction and away from denial that she’s really coming! Next up… Actually making the nursery. Slowly but surely.
