#2,646 Season 1 Premiere Party.
by Erin Napier
In a roundabout way, I’ve been talking and daydreaming and wondering what today would be like for the last 2.5 years, and now it’s happened. It’s up there with our wedding day, and best of all—I heard so many other Laurelites say the same thing today. Because it’s not just happening to me and Ben, but to our entire hometown. This is what it looked like. I’ve never ever ever been so tired or so thankful:
It was a big, emotional day for my parents. Mama and Kit, the owner of our production company, had a good hug about it this morning.
The handsome gent on the far left is not one of these Napier brothers. He’s just a friend we see around town all the time. IS THAT NOT CRAZY?!
Rob and Paul are not related either, but I’ve always thought they look like twins. Is that not crazy how much they look alike?!
The #livetweetcrew came from all over the country! BLESS YOUR HEARTS!
So, here we are on the other side of wondering what today would look like. What’s going to happen next? I can’t imagine. I can’t wait to see.

I’m Erin Napier, co-owner of Laurel Mercantile Co. and Scotsman Co. with my husband, Ben. I’m an artist and he’s a craftsman and we help people moving to our town find and restore old houses on HGTV’s Home Town. In an effort to count my blessings, this journal has documented only the good things that happen on each and every day of my life since January 1, 2010. I am a wife, a daughter, a homebody, a bubble bath lover, a book reader, a sentimental, stressed out, slightly obsessive southerner. Welcome!
