#262 Not the point.

We finally have a substantial group of senior high kids in the youth program and we’re having the best time working with them. There is nothing more fulfilling than knowing for certain that the information you’re giving them about God is sinking in, they’re asking hard questions, and strengthening their own faith by questioning it. The junior high is a huge group, and I’m so excited to think about the possibilities that will present once they’re old enough to understand the things Ben is teaching them. Tonight it clicked for one guy in our senior high group: he realized that heaven and hell aren’t the point — living for God right here and right now are, following Jesus and sharing that with the whole world is the point, and the rest will take care of itself. Isn’t that huge to realize as a 16 year old?
