It’s so gorgeous here in the wintertime. I think I’ll move to Waynesville soon. Just kidding, mama.

This morning we woke up at the Haltom’s Maggie Valley cabin, then headed to the Open Door soup kitchen in Waynesville for a little service project. The kids worked super hard, cooking, cleaning, serving food, and stocking the pantry. I was amazed by how energetic they were considering they’re all running on about 3 hours of sleep.
The hot water heater was broken, so I think we look pretty dang good considering we were unshowered and nasty. I know those kind folks at the shelter appreciated that.
