#431 Ricky & Satch.
by Erin Napier
When you work in youth ministry, days like this let us know few careers in the world could be so fulfilling. These guys are juniors in high school from my alma mater (NEJ), who’ve been coming with Michael (another of our awesome senior high guys) to every meeting, every event, every trip, since last summer. Right away they changed the dynamic of the youth program because we didn’t have many senior high students until then. Now they’re the ones the younger guys look up to—the cool and funny one they all want to be like. I know God put them in our church for a reason, now I’m excited to see what they do with this gift.

I’m Erin Napier, co-owner of Laurel Mercantile Co. and Scotsman Co. with my husband, Ben. I’m an artist and he’s a craftsman and we help people moving to our town find and restore old houses on HGTV’s Home Town. In an effort to count my blessings, this journal has documented only the good things that happen on each and every day of my life since January 1, 2010. I am a wife, a daughter, a homebody, a bubble bath lover, a book reader, a sentimental, stressed out, slightly obsessive southerner. Welcome!
