#722 Shelter & Mama’s Family.
by Erin Napier
1. Chevy hung out in his doghouse all day while it rained. This is historical.
2. Mama’s side of the family all came to their house for a big big Christmas lunch. There were 2 kinds of chicken tenders from Walker’s Dairy Bar—fried and grilled. Mama’s famous pear cake with caramel icing was also there stealing Aunt Charlotte’s chocolate chip cake’s thunder. Aunt Linda who is actually my cousin came and told us about her spin class and how intense it was. Isaac came and asked me for my iPad. Said he wanted it. I said, “Sorry, pal.” Mae Mae was there being awesome.
Other great things happened there, but I didn’t bring a camera. Mama—email me some!

I’m Erin Napier, co-owner of Laurel Mercantile Co. and Scotsman Co. with my husband, Ben. I’m an artist and he’s a craftsman and we help people moving to our town find and restore old houses on HGTV’s Home Town. In an effort to count my blessings, this journal has documented only the good things that happen on each and every day of my life since January 1, 2010. I am a wife, a daughter, a homebody, a bubble bath lover, a book reader, a sentimental, stressed out, slightly obsessive southerner. Welcome!
