Located on the Gulf Park Campus is the Friendship Oak, which is estimated to be over 500 years old. It is a beacon for the campus and the community on what it means to persist through the storms of life, but also the joy found in the friendships that were fostered along the way.

Nestled in the heart of Southern Mississippi's main campus lives a 100 year old live oak tree called the Legacy Oak. This historic oak has remained an important landmark representing the enduring strength of the campus and its community.
