#1,724 Loblolly Season.

With Loblolly just around the corner, I got busy today designing one of the 2 festival t-shirts. We’ve started doing the one classic festival shirt with the Loblolly logo on it, but last year I made a t-shirt design with a revamped version of the original Lindsey Wagon Co. logo—one of the great original Laurel companies when the city was brand new, and today I made one for the Eastman Gardiner Co., the lumber mill that put our city on the map in 1891 as the world capital of yellow pine. The mill doesn’t exist anymore, but its effects can never be forgotten with all the timber boom meant for our town.

Won’t be long now…
