#2,278 Lazy Friday Night.
by Erin Napier
Tonight while Ben and Jesse played in a church league basketball game, I poured eucalyptus Epsom salts in the tub and took a long soak for my achey back while I read online articles I’ve been saving for weeks. I pulled my favorite cotton night dress and white linen summer robe out of the dryer and cozied up on the sofa and furthered my Nancy Meyers education by watching The Intern which kind of made my head spin with thoughts about running our businesses but mostly… It was the most lovely, quiet, perfect way to spend a Friday night. At home.
I love Robert DeNiro’s gentlemanly character so much.

I’m Erin Napier, co-owner of Laurel Mercantile Co. and Scotsman Co. with my husband, Ben. I’m an artist and he’s a craftsman and we help people moving to our town find and restore old houses on HGTV’s Home Town. In an effort to count my blessings, this journal has documented only the good things that happen on each and every day of my life since January 1, 2010. I am a wife, a daughter, a homebody, a bubble bath lover, a book reader, a sentimental, stressed out, slightly obsessive southerner. Welcome!
