The Edlin House

Welcome to the coolest, coziest cabin in the woods- The Edlin House!

Switching things up from the light and bright atmosphere of The Helen House to the cozy, moody cabin in the woods this week. Kevin Edlin, a grammy nominated recording engineer, has been away from the area for a while and now resides in Nashville. This little beauty nestled on the outskirts of Laurel, has been in his family for a long time. Kevin has fond memories of growing up and hanging with his family here and so keeping it close was really important to him.

Restoring it from the run-down space that it was becoming was an easy decision and letting Erin and Ben head the project really paid off. It was a  "knock out of the park!" as Kevin emphasized. Let's take a look inside!

I don't know about you guys, but I'd say this space is ready for some summer cookouts and a rainy day curled up with a good book! Or in Kevin's world, a good jam session.

"I like many different types of modern styles, but always felt a more rural and rustic character would be best for this particular place.  I really love lots of dark earth-tone colors and various shades of gray. Erin and the design team took those ideas and made the whole place better than it’s ever been."

We're really glad you were able to look past the hopelessness of this home like you felt at first and were able to trust Erin and Ben with the process of restoring it back to where it was and give it even more glory years to come!
